Over approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, we will explore Avignon’s medieval streets, hidden corners and remarkable landmarks, uncovering the stories behind the city’s most important historical periods. From the grandeur of the Papal Palace and the turbulent era of the Avignon Papacy to the legends, characters and everyday life that shaped the city, you will discover much more than dates and monuments.

We will walk through the historic centre, visiting iconic places such as the Place de l’Horloge, the Papal Palace, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame des Doms and the famous Pont d’Avignon, while also discovering lesser-known details that are easy to miss when exploring on your own.

What makes this experience special is the storytelling. Rather than simply presenting facts, I bring Avignon’s past to life through the people, intrigues, legends and surprising events that unfolded here.

This is a relaxed and engaging experience designed for curious travellers who want to understand Avignon and experience its unique atmosphere through the eyes of a passionate local guide.
