Our tours are constantly updating to keep up with the three to five week rotation cycle of most contemporary galleries. From the many exhibitions currently on show, we work to curate the most thought-provoking, artsy and talked-about ones currently out there. This means our guides are in-the-know, attending private events, previews and general public openings, so they can share the best art back with you.
What to Expect on the Barcelona Gallery Hop Tour

Guided Tour Through 3–5 Art Galleries
Your journey may begin in the heart of Barcelona, but can also ask you to meet our guide in one of the more remote neighborhoods around the city, where the current art scene is thriving. Over the course of 1.5 to 2 hours, we’ll explore a curated selection of shows that reflect a central theme, social issue, or artistic trend. The exhibitions are chosen for their visual appeal and their relevance as well as their capacity to spark conversation.
Live Dialogue and Meaningful Engagement
In an age of virtual experiences, our tour happens in real life. Our guides are always happy to meet new people, as we see our tour as a living, breathing experience. We encourage open discussion and live interpretation throughout the tour. We believe that art becomes more powerful when we talk about it—when we ask questions, share impressions, and allow ourselves to be surprised. Your guide will offer insights about the artist, the medium, the gallery, and the cultural context, but you’ll shape the experience just as much.
Behind-the-Scenes Perspectives
Our guides are artists, curators, and critics who know the scene from the inside. You’ll get the kind of behind-the-scenes understanding, from emerging talent to established names, from painting and sculpture to photography, video, and mixed media—we cover it all.
Why Choose a Gallery Tour in Barcelona?
There are numerous galleries in Barcelona, which is the center of Catalan culture. The interesting part about the local contemporary art scene is that it can be hard to find, and for good reason. Barcelona is one of the major global tourist destinations; while 14.5 million tourists visit the city every year, small fine art galleries find the tourist flow difficult to manage and tend to situate themselves outside the city center.Navigating through these areas can be difficult. That’s why our Gallery Hop Art Tour does the heavy lifting for you, selecting the most significant and inspiring exhibitions, so you can focus on the experience.
A New Tour Every Week (or Two)
The Catalan art scene is always changing, and so is our tour.Every week, we refresh our route and selection based on new openings, critical acclaim, and cultural relevance. We might focus one week on feminist art practices, another on climate change and eco-art, and another on abstract painting or new media. No two weeks are the same.By joining us, you’ll always be in step with what’s new, now, and next in the art world.
Who Is This Tour For?

Art lovers and collectors who want to stay current

Travelers and tourists looking for a deeper cultural experience

Students and artists seeking inspiration and context

Anyone curious about the Catalan art world but unsure where to start

No prior knowledge is necessary.
