Step into the heart of Piedmont’s rich winemaking culture with this relaxed wine tasting experience, with a friendly greeter. Set in a comfortable, welcoming wine bar, this tasting offers a journey through 4 carefully selected wines from the prestigious Piedmont region. The experience begins with a warm welcome from your greeter, who will serve the tastings of Piedmont wines. As you settle in, you’ll be presented with a selection of four distinct wines from the region. The host will choose from an array of local wines, including crisp and refreshing white varieties like Erbaluce and Arneis, as well as sparkling wines such as Alta Langa, which exemplifies the region’s finesse in crafting refined bubbles. For red wine lovers, Piedmont offers bold, structured varieties such as Nebbiolo, the grape behind the world-famous Barolo and Barbaresco wines, and the rich, fruit-forward Barbera. Alternatively, you may experience a classic Barbaresco, another iconic red, known for its elegance and aging potential. As you taste, you’ll have the opportunity to pair each wine with local delicacies. A thoughtfully curated platter of cold cuts, cheeses, and freshly baked bread or grissini accompanies the wines, enhancing the experience with authentic regional flavors. The food pairings are carefully chosen to complement the characteristics of each wine, creating a harmonious balance of taste and texture. One of the unique aspects of this tasting is the inclusion of a printed guide, which will walk you through each wine and its background. As you sip, you can follow along, learning about the grape varieties, tasting notes, and the winemaking traditions that define the region. This guide is a valuable resource for both wine enthusiasts and those new to the world of Piedmont wines, providing context and enhancing your appreciation of each bottle. The printed guide also delves into the rich winemaking history of the Turin region, exploring how the area's climate, geography, and centuries-old traditions have shaped the wines you'll be tasting. This combination of wine and education ensures that your experience is not only enjoyable but also enriching.Whether you’re enjoying the bright citrus notes of an Erbaluce or the deep, complex aromas of a Nebbiolo, this tasting offers a well-rounded introduction to the diversity and excellence of Piedmont wines.
