Guided tours

Ten stops along Buda's Castle Hill, from the Chain Bridge to the Mary Magdalene Tower, through a district where every age chose which past to rebuild: a baroque palace over a medieval one, a Millennium fortress that never defended anything, and buildings pulled down after 1945 now rising again.

10 stops in route order: Clark Ádám tér, Buda Castle, Szent György tér, Dísz tér, Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion, Táncsics Mihály utca, Vienna Gate, Abdurrahman Pasha Memorial, Mary Magdalene Tower.

It is fully self-guided: no group, no guide to keep up with, and no need to arrive at a set time. 10 stops, about 2.5 km on foot, 1h45 at an easy pace, narrated in English, in your phone browser, with a live GPS map of the route. Pause as long as you like and pick the story up where you left it.
