Guided tours

We begin this private tour with direct pick up from your accommodation by your guide in comfortable vehicle. Along  the journey, your guide will share insights into Portuguese history, culture, and the importance of this coastal region.  Our first stop is Costa Nova, a charming seaside area famous for its iconic wooden houses painted with vibrant vertical  stripes. Originally built by fishermen to store equipment, these huts have become one of Portugal’s most  photographed  coastal  landmarks.   Enjoy a relaxed walk along the beach and through the neighbourhood, taking time to admire the Atlantic views and  the unique architecture. Next, we head to Aveiro for one of the tour’s highlights: a 45-minute Moliceiro boat cruise (optional) through the city’s  picturesque canals. These traditional boats were once used to harvest seaweed in the lagoon and now offer a  charming way to experience Aveiro from the water. After the cruise, enjoy a guided walking tour through Aveiro’s historic centre. You’ll pass elegant Art Nouveau buildings,  the lively fish market, the main canals, and the Aveiro Cathedral, a baroque national monument.   Learn about Aveiro’s origins as a fishing and salt-producing town and discover why it is part of the prestigious Réseau  Art Nouveau Network, alongside cities such as Barcelona, Brussels, and Budapest.  You’ll then have free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, taste regional specialties, explore shops, or simply  wander through the canals at your own pace.  In the afternoon, we leave Aveiro towards Válega, home to one of the most impressive tiled churches in Portugal.   The Church of Válega stands out for its exterior covered entirely in traditional azulejos, depicting religious and  historical scenes. You’ll have around 30 minutes to visit and appreciate this unique monument.   We then continue to Miramar to visit the stunning Senhor da Pedra Chapel, a unique 17th-century seaside chapel built  on the rocks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This rare hexagonal structure blends religious devotion with dramatic  coastal scenery. Take time to walk around, enjoy the ocean views, and capture memorable photographs of this truly  iconic location.   After the visit, we return to Porto, arriving at your hotel or accommodation at approximately 16:30.
