Guided tours

Explore the hidden Jewish history of the Square Mile, from the original Jewish quarter in the heart of the City to a poignant modern-day memorial. Led by an expert guide and City resident, this tour reveals the medieval Jewish cemetery underneath the modern Barbican Estate. You'll hear about the Expulsion of the community in 1290, and see the church with a connection to their readmission centuries later. As we wind through the Square Mile, you'll discover some of the characters associated with iconic City locations such as The Royal Exchange and the Guildhall, and pass by the oldest synagogue in London before finishing at the Kindertransport Memorial. Uncovering a piece of medieval history that even Londoners don't know, it's a fascinating tour for locals and travellers alike.
