During your tour, you will discover: - The duration and reasons behind the construction of Milan's cathedral - The connection between the cathedral and the synchronization of Milanese clocks - Techniques to differentiate between 14th-century stained glass windows and the more recent ones - The statue used by Milanese to frighten children - The inspiration behind the Archbishop of Milan's decision to preserve the crucifixion nail - The criteria for being interred within the Duomo's walls without being a clergy member - The contributions of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo to the cathedral's construction This tour, curated by a professional historian, combines reliable historical facts with intriguing legends. However, it steers clear of being an academic lecture, avoiding tedious lists of dates and specialized terminology. The guide also includes tips for preparing for your visit to the cathedral. Starting with an exploration of the exterior before moving inside, the tour allows you to immerse yourself in the Duomo's splendor at your leisure afterward.
